Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Buzztiv (the "Service"), operated by us ("Buzztiv," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Buzztiv provides an AI-powered chat widget that businesses embed on their websites to answer visitor questions and capture leads, along with a dashboard for configuring the widget, viewing conversations and leads, and managing billing.

3. Accounts and responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the business information (hours, services, FAQs, instructions) you configure — the AI receptionist answers visitors using only what you provide, and we are not responsible for inaccuracies in that configuration.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Messages beyond your plan's monthly quota are billed as overage on your next invoice rather than interrupting your chat widget. You may cancel at any time from your billing dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation;
• Configure the AI receptionist to impersonate a real person, or to deceive visitors about the nature of the business;
• Send unsolicited communications in violation of applicable law;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; or
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers to operate, including Anthropic (the underlying AI model), Stripe (payments), and our hosting and database providers. Your use of the Service is also subject to the availability and terms of these providers.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing your configuration and for any consequences of relying on AI-generated responses to your visitors.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Buzztiv will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
